• By raising your deductible, (the amount of money you pay before you make a claim), you can lower your collision and comprehensive costs substantially.
• Check on the value of your car; it may be cost effective to drop collision and/or comprehensive coverage on cars worth less than $1,000.00.
• If you are looking to buy a new or used car, check the insurance costs. You will be paying more for cars that are common targets for theft, or that are expensive to repair.
• Take advantage of any and all discounts offered, such as low mileage, no accidents in three years, anti-theft devices, automatic seat belts, airbags, anti-lock brakes, and driver training courses.
